So in love with this bag. Normally I hate color blocking, but it totally works here. Btw, it’s the Celine Trapeze bag. (I love playing let’s ID the purse, haha. For some reason I guessed Marc Jacobs. But then I looked again at the clasp and realized, that’s not right, it has to be Celine!)

It’s interesting to see how many designers are using this general bag form now, with the side edges (gusset sides?) poking out rather than hidden away (brings to mind pockets peeking out from the bottom hem of denim cutoffs in that “that’s not how it should be, but it totally works”/”you love it or you hate it” kind of way). It’s sort of like a satchel/flap that wants to be a tote :).

Such clean lines and the perfect play of color/texture. Looks so perfectly roomy. I love how the side flaps have snaps, which make them functional rather than just a trendy decoration. And with both a short and a long strap, seriously, major bag lust.

-3 weeks until school’s over, so fast!
-2 food items I recently discovered: crab rangoon and chocolate chip oatmeal
-so tempted to start a new blog this summer, like a lifestyle blog? crafts, fashion, cooking, photography, random inspiration
-really want to throw some parties: Great Gatsby, Game of Thrones, Italian Tapas Alfresco, Roald Dahl
-trip planning is my new hobby
-searching for the perfect pair of denim cut off shorts, an essential in every CA girl’s wardrobe (light blue denim, slightly distressed, not high waisted, pockets hanging out or cuffed)
-found my summer maxi skirt, peach pleated chiffon, need to get it shortened though, I’m too short!
-excited to go to Napa (food!)
-want to travel so bad, living vicariously through pinterest
-studying makes my mind wander, things I’d like to do this summer: go to the beach (Santa Cruz?), have a legit picnic, parties, celebrate July 4th, eat at The Boiling Crab in SJ, explore SF, visit Berkeley, Impressionists on Water @ Legion of Honor, Livermore Outlets, enjoy my research experience, Cantor Museum in Stanford, watch a movie outdoors on a warm summer night, Vegas?, explore more of CA, practice driving more :(, find those shorts, work on my Chinese and Spanish, blog/paint/craft more, take more photos… I guess to sum up, work hard play hard :D

This morning, I was startled awake at 6 am by a really graphic nightmare. Don’t remember the particulars, but there was a Norman Bates/Hannibal Lecter type villain and lots of bloody violence. Face skinning was definitely involved. So weird that this didn’t happen until after I finished with dissection since, apparently, strange dreams are normal during anatomy dissection. I guess I need to lay off reading Entertainment Weekly during times of stress, at least the articles about creepy shows…

On the bright side, since I was up so early, I got a lot accomplished before class. Finished my blog post and worked on anatomy lecture. Perhaps this will help me reset my sleep schedule!
